Waterloo, Ontario, January 3, 2024 — Forward Education is honoured to announce that they have been named a finalist in the Bett UK 2024 Awards. The Bett Awards are a celebration of the inspiring creativity and innovation that can be found throughout technology for education.
The Forward Education Climate Action Kit was named as a finalist in the Hardware AV VR/AR Robotics or Digital Device category alongside several other deserving companies. The Climate Action Kit is a tool designed to help educators teach STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) subjects using real-world climate change issues and solutions. It includes an online portal, coding platform, and inventor's kit, and is suitable for grades 3-10.
Teachers can choose from a range of curriculum-aligned lessons and share a link with their students, who can work through the lessons at their own pace. Students will learn about climate change topics, Sustainable Development Goals, then code and build their own robotics solution.
In addition to being nominated for an award, the Forward Education team is set to attend the Bett UK 2024 conference in London, UK from January 22-24th, 2024. Bett is one of the largest education technology conferences in the world, featuring EdTech companies, industry leaders, live demos, and collaboration opportunities.
