Perkins V Career and Technical Education Funds (Louisiana)
Eligibility
Louisiana districts and high schools with state-approved CTE programs. CS, IT, digital media, and engineering technology pathways all qualify for Perkins V spending.
Program Goals
Strengthen career and technical education programs and ensure students are workforce-ready. Perkins V funds equipment, curriculum, and professional development for approved CTE pathways including technology and computer science tracks.

Annual formula allocation. Funds flow each fiscal year. Districts must submit Perkins plans to LDOE annually.
Grant Award Amount
Formula-based on CTE enrollment in approved pathways. Districts with larger CTE programs receive more. Louisiana receives several million dollars annually in Perkins V formula funds.

For state formula purposes, yes. But Perkins V has its own approval process. Check with your district's CTE and Perkins coordinator.

Yes. Professional development for CTE teachers in technology and CS pathways is an allowable Perkins V use.
