Program Goals

Fund Louisiana's Jump Start CTE initiative by distributing formula dollars to districts with industry-based career pathways. CS and technology pathways help students earn industry-based credentials (IBCs) and prepare for workforce entry or postsecondary education.

Districts with approved Jump Start pathways receive formula allocations automatically. Schools looking to establish new CS or technology pathways apply to LDOE for pathway approval. Approved pathways then generate Jump Start formula funding.
