Eligibility

Wisconsin K-12 teachers in public or private schools. Projects must integrate agriculture into core classroom instruction. Applicants must be current WIAITC members or join before applying.

Program Goals

Wisconsin Ag in the Classroom supports teachers who bring agriculture literacy into their classrooms across all subject areas — not just agriculture classes. Grants fund materials, supplies, and resources that help students understand where food and fiber come from and how agriculture connects to science, technology, math, and environmental stewardship.

Application

Applications are submitted online at wisagclassroom.org by November 1, 2026. Teachers describe their agriculture-integrated lesson or project, list materials needed, and explain how the project connects to Wisconsin academic standards. Up to 20 grants are awarded per year.

Award Amount

Up to $500 per grant. Funds are used for classroom materials, supplies, seeds, growing equipment, and curriculum resources that support the agriculture-integrated project.

Materials that support hands-on, agriculture-integrated learning. Forward Education products that fit the program's goals:
