In-kind grants cover everything needed to start a competitive robotics team including the robot kit, competition elements, team registration, and coach professional development. No cash award is provided.

- Indiana K-12 schools and after-school organizations
- Programs starting new competitive robotics teams
- Coach participation in training is required
- Commitment to compete in VEX Robotics competitions
