South Carolina Curriculum Alignment

Forward Education's hands-on STEM kits are aligned to South Carolina's adopted standards: the South Carolina College- and Career-Ready Science Standards (2021), the South Carolina College- and Career-Ready Mathematics Standards (2023), the South Carolina College- and Career-Ready English Language Arts Standards (2023), and the CSTA Computer Science Standards. Our alignment uses South Carolina's own codes and language exactly as published by the South Carolina Department of Education. Each alignment was built by reviewing individual lesson activities against specific standards, one lesson at a time, across all six products in our kit ecosystem. Teachers in South Carolina can confidently connect our resources to the standards they are already teaching.

How we count: Each percentage reflects how many individual standards are addressed by at least one lesson, project, or tutorial within that product. Because many of our activities are interdisciplinary, multiple lessons may align to the same standard, so your students will often have more than one opportunity to practice each expectation throughout the kit.
