What Is Perkins V?
The Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act (Perkins V) sends formula funds to states for CTE programs. In Oregon, funds flow through ODE to regional consortia and then to schools with approved CTE pathways. Technology, engineering, and CS pathways are all eligible.
What Can Perkins Funds Cover?
CTE equipment, curriculum, and professional development for approved pathways. Forward Education kits qualify as CTE equipment and instructional materials for technology and CS pathways.
How Forward Education Fits
Forward Education has supported Perkins-funded CTE programs in technology and CS pathways across the US. We provide documentation showing alignment to CTE program standards and official pricing for purchase orders.
Next Steps
Contact your district CTE coordinator or regional CTE consortium. Confirm that your pathway's Perkins spending plan includes curriculum and equipment. Contact Forward Education for alignment documentation and a pricing letter to include in your spending plan.
