About This Grant

Verizon Innovative Learning Schools is a national program that provides funding, devices, and technology training to middle and high schools in underserved communities. Selected schools receive up to $10,000 in grants plus devices to support technology integration across subjects.

Minnesota schools in Title I-eligible communities or serving high percentages of students from low-income families are a strong fit for this program. The program focuses on expanding access to technology and helping students develop digital and AI literacy skills they can use in college and careers.

Applications follow an annual cycle. Schools apply through the Verizon Innovative Learning website. Check the site for current eligibility requirements and application windows.

How Forward Education Kits Fit

Forward Education's coding and AI literacy curriculum pairs well with the device investment from Verizon Innovative Learning Schools. Our tools help students go beyond device use to actually build and create with technology -- the kind of active learning the program is designed to support.
