What Is NOAA B-WET?

NOAA's Bay Watershed Education and Training (B-WET) program funds meaningful watershed educational experiences for K-12 students. The Pacific Northwest B-WET program serves Oregon and Washington schools, focusing on salmon, coastal ecosystems, and watershed science.

Who Can Apply?

Schools, nonprofits, and educational organizations in B-WET-eligible regions. Oregon schools near coastal areas, rivers, and salmon habitat are strong candidates. Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences (MWEEs) are the required program model.

How Forward Education Fits

Forward Education environmental science kits support the hands-on watershed and ecosystem learning that B-WET requires. We can align our curriculum to MWEE standards for Oregon applicants.
