Eligibility

California school districts and county offices of education applying in partnership with a California community college district are eligible. Programs must target industry sectors that align to regional labor market needs. Regional consortia applying jointly with multiple LEAs are encouraged. Individual school sites may not apply directly.

Program Goals

The K12 Strong Workforce Program extends California's Strong Workforce Program to the high school level, enabling community college districts to partner with K-12 schools to develop and expand CTE pathways that align to regional industry needs. Funds support curriculum alignment, equipment, teacher credentialing, articulation agreements, and work-based learning opportunities that create seamless transitions from high school CTE to community college workforce programs.
