About This Grant
DonorsChoose is a crowdfunding platform built specifically for US public school teachers. Minnesota teachers can create a project page describing what they want for their classroom, and individual donors -- including corporations, foundations, and community members -- fund projects directly.
There is no application deadline and no grant cycle. Teachers post a project, set a funding goal, and promote it to their community. Projects that reach their goal get the materials shipped directly to the school. DonorsChoose handles all the money and purchasing logistics.
STEM, robotics, coding, and technology projects are among the most popular categories on DonorsChoose. Corporate matching programs from companies like Microsoft, Google, and others frequently boost STEM project funding. Many teachers fund Forward Education kits directly through DonorsChoose.
