About This Grant
Samsung Solve for Tomorrow is a national competition open to public school teachers and their students in grades 6-12. Teams identify a problem in their local community and design a STEM-based solution. Top teams advance through state and national rounds, with national finalists competing for prizes up to $100,000 in Samsung products and educational resources.
Minnesota public school teachers can enter their classes as teams. The contest encourages creativity and real-world application of science, technology, engineering, and math. Past winning projects have included environmental monitoring systems, assistive technology devices, and community health solutions built with coding and hardware.
Applications open each fall. One teacher registers the team and submits a project proposal. Strong proposals show a clear community problem, a STEM-based approach, and a plan to measure impact.
