Public middle and high school teachers in the United States including Louisiana.

Program Goals

Challenge students to use STEM to solve real community problems. Teams apply STEM skills to a local issue and develop a solution. Louisiana teachers are eligible to apply nationally.

Application and Distribution

Online application through samsung.com/us/solvefortomorrow. Annual fall deadline. Winning schools receive Samsung technology and program support.

Cycle Notes

Annual. Opens in fall, winners announced in spring. Check samsung.com for exact dates each year.

Grant Award Amount

State winners receive up to $20,000 in products. National finalists receive more. Total prize pool exceeds $2M nationally.

Is this open to Louisiana schools?

Yes. Samsung Solve for Tomorrow is open to public school teachers in all 50 states including Louisiana.

Do students need to have a finished project to apply?

No. The initial application is a project proposal. Finalists develop and present their solutions.

What subjects qualify?

Science, technology, engineering, and math projects focused on a real community problem.
