The Role

As an Accounting Assistant (P/T) you will support the finance department by performing clerical tasks, including managing ledgers, preparing invoices and budget reports, reconciling bank statements, and completing basic bookkeeping and accounting duties. You will also process transactions, update statements, and ensure records are accurate. Effective communication skills are essential, as you will interact with internal stakeholders, vendors, and respond to client inquiries. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a basic understanding of accounting principles.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks including but not limited to:
• Accounts payable and receivable
• Bank and credit card reconciliations
• Input of employee expense reports
• Assist with payroll processing including maintaining up-to-date employee records
• General ledger entries
• Sales invoicing ensuring accuracy of data
• Preparation of monthly sales tax reports
• Support with inventory reconciliation
• General administrative duties
• Other accounting tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years in an accounting or finance related role.
• Proficiency in Excel, Sharepoint, and accounting software.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to maintain accurate and orderly electronic and manual files.
• Adaptable to change and proactive in identifying areas for process improvement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
