All Louisiana school districts receive Title II formula funds. Used for teacher professional development, class size reduction, and instructional improvement.

Program Goals

Improve teacher and principal quality and effectiveness. Title II funds professional development in STEM, CS, and technology when connected to school improvement plans and teacher quality goals.

Application and Distribution

Formula fund distributed by LDOE to districts annually. District HR and curriculum coordinators manage Title II spending. No competitive application.

Annual formula allocation. Funds flow through the district budget process each fiscal year.

Grant Award Amount

Formula-based. All 69 Louisiana districts receive Title II funds. Larger districts receive proportionally more. Funds support professional development costs including training, curriculum coaching, and teacher learning.
