Title I, Part A is the federal government's largest K-12 education program, providing formula-based funding to schools with high percentages of students from low-income families. Colorado schools that receive Title I funds can use them for STEM and ed-tech programs that improve student achievement.

What This Grant Funds

Title I funds support a wide range of activities to improve academic achievement for disadvantaged students, including STEM materials, technology equipment, professional development, and tutoring programs. Schools have significant flexibility in how they use Title I dollars within federal guidelines.

Who Can Apply

Title I funds are allocated to eligible schools and districts automatically based on student poverty data. Schools in Colorado receive their allocations through the Colorado Department of Education. If your school already receives Title I funds, work with your principal and Title I coordinator to direct some funding toward STEM and technology programs.

How to Apply

Contact your district's Title I coordinator or CDE to understand your school's current Title I allocation. Funds are accessed through the district's consolidated grant application. Educators should make the case to their Title I coordinator for STEM materials and ed-tech investments.

Recommended Products
