About This Grant
Title I Part A is a federal formula grant that provides funding to schools with high percentages of students from low-income families. Connecticut school districts receive Title I allocations each year through the CSDE. Schools can use Title I funds for a wide range of academic support activities.
What It Funds
Academic support, tutoring, supplemental materials, professional development, and enrichment programs for students in high-poverty schools. STEM materials and curriculum are allowable Title I expenses when tied to academic improvement goals.
Who Gets It
Title I funds are allocated by formula to eligible schools. Contact your district's federal programs coordinator to find out your school's Title I allocation and how to request STEM curriculum purchases.
Forward Education Fit
Forward Education curriculum is regularly purchased using Title I funds in CT districts. We provide documentation showing how our kits support academic achievement goals required for Title I compliance.
