Samsung Solve for Tomorrow
Eligibility
U.S. public school teachers in grades 6-12 in Wisconsin and all other states. One entry per teacher per competition year. Classes must develop a STEM-based solution to a real community problem.
Program Goals
Samsung Solve for Tomorrow challenges students to use STEM skills to address real-world problems in their communities. Wisconsin schools compete nationally for prizes including Samsung technology products and cash awards that bring cutting-edge tools into classrooms.

Application
Applications open each fall at samsung.com/us/solvefortomorrow. Teachers submit a project proposal describing the community problem and the STEM solution students will develop. Finalists are selected to develop and present their solutions.
Cycle Notes
Annual competition with fall entry period. State winners advance to national competition in spring. Award decisions are announced at the national level after finalist presentations.
Award Amount
State winners receive Samsung products and technology for their classroom. National finalists and winners receive prizes up to $100,000 in products and cash. Awards are given to the school/classroom.

Can Wisconsin teachers enter Solve for Tomorrow?
Yes. All 50 states are eligible. Wisconsin teachers compete in the Wisconsin state pool first, then state winners advance to the national competition.
How many entries can a teacher submit?
One entry per teacher per competition year. Teams are encouraged and students in the class are involved in developing the solution.
What kind of projects win?
Projects that clearly connect a local community problem to a creative STEM solution, with student involvement in design and development, tend to be most competitive.
Are the prizes products or cash?
Prizes are primarily Samsung technology products (tablets, displays, etc.) with some cash components. National winners receive the largest awards.
