Schools and nonprofits in Dollar General store communities across the US including Louisiana. Focus on literacy and adult education programs.

Program Goals

Improve literacy outcomes for K-12 students and adults in Dollar General communities. Technology-enhanced literacy and coding-as-literacy programs may qualify.

Application and Distribution

Applications submitted through dgliteracy.org. Annual cycle with specific deadlines posted on the foundation website. Must be within a Dollar General store community.

Annual. Check dgliteracy.org for current cycle. Louisiana communities with Dollar General stores are eligible.

Grant Award Amount

Awards up to $4,000 per school or organization. Funds support literacy program materials and supplies.
