Teachers must complete the requirements to earn a CS Supplementary Authorization and submit proof of authorization to the Commission to receive the stipend. Subject to available appropriations.

Program Goals

The Computer Science Supplementary Authorization Incentive Grant is administered by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) to grow the pipeline of K-12 teachers qualified to teach computer science. The program provides financial incentives to encourage credentialed teachers to add a CS authorization, addressing the statewide shortage of certified CS educators. It supports California's goals for universal CS education access at every grade level.
