Texas TEKS Alignment: Science, Mathematics, and English Language Arts

Forward Education's hands-on STEM kits are aligned to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS): the Science TEKS (including the 2021 revisions), the Mathematics TEKS, the English Language Arts and Reading TEKS, and the CSTA Computer Science Standards. Our TEKS alignment covers grades 5 through 8, where our lesson content most directly supports Texas classrooms, and every alignment was verified against the TEKS as published by the Texas Education Agency, one lesson at a time, across all six products in our kit ecosystem. Teachers in Texas can confidently connect our resources to the knowledge and skills statements they are already teaching.

How we count: Each percentage reflects how many individual standards are addressed by at least one lesson, project, or tutorial within that product. Because many of our activities are interdisciplinary, multiple lessons may align to the same standard, so your students will often have more than one opportunity to practice each expectation throughout the kit.
