Nova Scotia Curriculum Alignment
Forward Education's classroom kits are aligned to the Nova Scotia curriculum outcomes published by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. Alignments cover the Science outcomes from Grade 3 through Science 10 and the senior sciences including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Oceans 11, and Geology 12, the Mathematics outcomes across the Number, Patterns and Relations, Measurement, Geometry, and Data Management strands, and the English Language Arts outcomes. Every alignment below was verified outcome by outcome against the official curriculum, so teachers in Halifax, Sydney, and every regional centre across the province can see exactly where each lesson fits their curriculum.
How we count: Each percentage reflects how many individual standards are addressed by at least one lesson, project, or tutorial within that product. Because many of our activities are interdisciplinary, multiple lessons may align to the same standard, so your students will often have more than one opportunity to practice each expectation throughout the kit.
