Northern Ireland Curriculum Alignment

Forward Education's classroom kits are aligned to the Northern Ireland Curriculum. Alignments cover The World Around Us and Science, Mathematics and Numeracy, and Language and Literacy, together with Using ICT as a Cross-Curricular Skill and the Technology and Design subject, which is where our build-and-test projects fit most directly. Note that CCEA does not prescribe minimum content at Key Stage 4, where the curriculum is qualification-led, so alignments concentrate at Key Stages 2 and 3. Every alignment was checked against the CCEA statutory requirements, so teachers across Northern Ireland can see exactly where each lesson fits their planning.

How we count: Each percentage reflects how many individual standards are addressed by at least one lesson, project, or tutorial within that product. Because many of our activities are interdisciplinary, multiple lessons may align to the same standard, so your students will often have more than one opportunity to practice each expectation throughout the kit.

Northern Ireland Curriculum Alignment
